Vlad will talk about Unity's new solution for creating smaller, faster, lighter experiences that will enable you to reach everything from entry-level devices to wearables. Our advanced compression techniques, combined with our Entity Component System architecture, leads to fast delivery, loading, and start-up times. Attendees will gain an understanding of what Unity's small solution is and what the various deployment options it makes possible. You'll also learn how it relates to the other Unity data-oriented design efforts and how we're thinking about small code going forward.
Vladimir currently leads the Runtime Solutions group at Unity, working to enable developers to bring their content to a broad range of environments. Prior to joining Unity last year, he spent 10 years at Mozilla working on foundational web technologies and the Firefox browser. He is the inventor of WebGL, the standard for high-performance 3D on the web, as well as the initiator of the WebVR R&D effort to bring VR capabilities to the web.
